We're headed off to Vintage Motorcycle Days at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in a couple of hours. This is an annual event for us. This year is kind of special for me. For the last several years, Nancy has taken her Spyder for daily transportation. This year she is taking her new (old) Honda Cub 50, so I get to take my own Spyder. That has presented some challenges. The RT bags cannot be removed like hers, so I couldn't tuck the front wheel of the Cub up beside it in the trailer. I ended up loading the motorcycle sideway across the trailer near the back door. It weighs next to nothing, so that should not cause a problem with the tongue weight.
There is no schedule as to which companies will have demo rides available at VMD this year. The Spyder trailer has been there the last several years, but BRP doesn't show any demo events on its calendar, either, so I don't know if the Spyders will be there or not. I hope so, the demo rides were very popular these last few years, with the schedule filling up within an hour or two, for the entire day.
We will be working the bike show area Friday and Saturday, and camping at the track (in the heat...UGH!) If you come to VMD, look us up. There are over 30,000 motorcycles there each year, but there won't be many big red Spyders. It is a great destination for a ride, if you are in the area, but come very early, or be prepared for traffic jams and some overheating. Hope to see you there!
BTW, no connectivity at the track, so I'll check in when we get home.
