There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. It's Getting Colder

Went for my daily ride this PM. 70 miles today. I noted the following:

:ani29:: The temps started in the low 50's.
:ani29:: The sun is now unable to reach over the tops of some of the taller North facing mountains. These areas will be in perpetual shade until this time of the month in March of 2015. These shaded areas are a full 10 degrees cooler without the benefit of the direct sunlight.
:ani29:: The temperature got to 20 degrees last night in the outlying and low areas. I found frozen/frosted grass in low areas on the shady side mentioned above. One pond had a coating of ice on the top.
:ani29:: I turned the heated handle grips on and they felt pretty good. Grip Puppies removed when I got home. Prefer direct heat rather than insulated heat.

Going to continue to ride until black ice or snow hits the roads in a serious manner.

Yup, it's getting colder down this way too. We've already gone below freezing a couple of nights and the mornings are getting brisk. We're supposed to have a heat wave this weekend, but then back down to typical fall weather. Leaves are starting to get real pretty and it'll soon be time to put the bike away. It's probably warmer than up your way, but they're predicting a cold winter here again this year. That'll mean high heating bills again. One of the penalties you pay for having a restored 1875 victorian.

RAIN IN SEATTLE

We have been getting a little rain here in the Seattle area lately but it was 70 out by the end of the day no complaints here :ohyea:

The last two weeks have been some of the best riding weather we've had all year! Lows in the upper 40's to mid 50's and highs in the low to mid 70's. I've driven my car once in the last 2 weeks and put about 800 miles on my Spyder. I figure I need to get all the riding in I can before it get's too cold.

Ride safe everyone!!

Tony

I agree, it was 63 degrees this morning when I got up at 6AM and had to put on a coat and light gloves
to ride to work. Man I hate cold weather!

This is absolutely amazing! It's happening all over North America and it seems like it happens just about the same time each year!
Must be "Global Warming' in play!

Can't wait for winter

The mornings are good but we're still seeing triple digit temperatures in the afternoons. Another month and it'll be ideal ryding weather in the desert.:yes::yes:

What do you guys do during the summer? nojoke
Do you park the bikes, or are your rides planned to head toward different destinations?

 :2thumbs:
I've heard it said, that some folks will avoid the mid-afternoon, and heavy traffic, in an attempt to make the rides feel less like time spent under a broiler.

Summertime in the desert.

With the exception of those folks who are very grizzled, we tend to hide from the summer like you folks hide from winter. We're on the eve of six months of great ryding.

Do you not ride? :yikes:
Or do you just change your riding habits? :dontknow:
(Hoping ot move out there, and trying to figure out what the options are...)

Cold

Folks that I know in AZ are early risers and do breakfast rides, lay off during the hot parts of the day and do later evenings, that is what I would do in the summer monhs. Going to be a snowbird for awhile doing winters in AZ and summers in Idaho. :doorag:

It may be time.....

It may be time to think of moving SOUTH about say Northern CA. or maybe Arz.:D
