• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I finally got my Spyder back from the service dept. after they had it for 2 months. They replaced the DESS module.
Anyway, when I got my :spyder: back from the service it was filthy.
so, I spent the afternoon cleaning it. It was blazing hot outside and after drying off the spyder I went to get on it, and I guess I was so tired I didn't get my leg up high enough and managed to smack into my right tail light, knocking it out of its stem. I have the BRP/givi bags set-up and as you know they changed the placement of the taillights.

It seems like it should snap back in place. but I can't seem to get it to. Everything still functions, I just can't get the tail light to stay on:gaah:
Will I ever be able to ride this??

Anybody out there have this problem before and know how to fix it?

If you take the lens off, you will see the reflector with a U-shape on the side next to the stem (if I remember right). There is a ridge at the end of the stem and then the stem narrows and increases in size again. The U-shape goes around where the stem narrows. With the lens back on, the U-shape on the reflector holds the stem in place. I knocked mine off before. I hope this is what you find when you check. Otherwise, I don't know.

Glad to hear you finally got your Spyder back.

Very sorry to hear about it being filthy upon delivery to you. Was that caused by them trailering it to you in bad weather?

I wish you the best with getting your light fixed, and getting some good ryding time in.

They didn't trailer it in bad weather! I think it sat outside for two months, or for some part of itnojoke

I had called on Friday and Sat. to make sure I spoke to the service manager to make certain I was on the list for Tuesday, their drivers first day back from vacation. I waited until 2:30pm to call as I had not heard from the driver yet. He wasn't planning on delivering it that day, only find out when he could deliver it...:hun::gaah:

I explained to him that THIS TUESDAY was the day he could deliver it.
so, he arrived at 5pm on Tuesday- (Thank you Austin)

anyway, here are some pics of my broken tail light.

Yup--- been there done this--- just unscrew the lens and it should make sense how you have to put it back together....
