• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yesterday I had a very nice (albeit COLD) ryde..and was thinking wow I'm going to be able to ryde right on thru 2012 into 2013. Not to be...last nite the snow came..and it is spitting right now..roads sloppy, messy but the beautiful snow is awesome..and then add the Christmas lites at night and what a joy and sight to behold it is. Now I considered counseling for having to "dismount" for a time, but then realized hauling out my Atlas, maps and wish ryding list is cheaper and more fun!!! So after Santa arrives (oh yea I still believe in the big guy...but realllly know that Jesus is the REASON for the SEASON)...I will be getting ready for ryde season 2013. Ms Spyder is approaching 44k and running like a champ...so figure next year another 20-30k should be just about right :yes: Have to confess I am sooooo not patient :yikes: waiting for the final destination for Spyderfest to appear on this "hallowed" site...but wherever it is I will be there!!!:clap:knowing it will be totally awesome and a not to miss event...:firstplace:. Those of you that can still ryde...do one for me!!

I'm sorry to hear that Mother Nature has knocked you temporarily out of the saddle!

logged in about 80 miles today...about 46 F... felt good with all the rain we've been having.:doorag:

My son is vacationing in Florida at the moment and keeps emailing me pictures. They rented scooters and are riding around southern Florida. What makes it worse is I have a massive head cold, stuck in Munich where it's a chilly minus 6 and snowing. Although I have to say its very hallmark christmass card picturesque here at the moment. I was in Freiburg at the weekend and they have a Christmas festival each year there. Very very festive, I will post some pictures when I get home, I forgot my camera lead so there stuck in the camera.

Missing my Spyder, oh and the wife... But she refuses to sit with my spyder and comfort it during my absence.

Harry,
cold, running nose, pounding head and wide awake when I should be asleep. 2.20 am here and feel like its midday.

So sorry that Ms Spyder has gone to sleep for the season. I had a great ride today to meet AKSpyderman and AKSpyderlady for a late lunch. They are visiting from Alaska and they brought cool and cloudy weather with them! We had a great time and it is so nice to put faces with names.

 Do they salt your roads heavily out there once the snow hits? That's pretty much what parks my bikes; the thought of coating them up with road salt... :yikes:

Still nice here in NM, hope to ride most of the winter. Only drawback is that we probably won't have a white Christmas:(

it was 50 yester day and 60 today in kansas i rode yester day and im geting ready to go today i ride like the wend ever time its above 40,im loving the weather so far this year.so lets ride.

:yes::yes:This proves that it's not true that it always rain but sometimes it snow here in evergreen state.:yes::yes:

Yep

 Do they salt your roads heavily out there once the snow hits? That's pretty much what parks my bikes; the thought of coating them up with road salt... :yikes:

Not only salt, but a gravel/dirt mix AND a liquid that raises hell with everything..those who don't run thru car wash frequently have rigs after 2 seasons that are a mess...

I'm still riding back and forth to work every day that it isn't raining or snowing. So far only one snowstorm, the nor-easter we got after Hurricane Sandy. Praying for not much snow as there is a lot of repair work to be done here at the Jersey shore. Murphy I'll be thinking about you while I'm out there riding and I'll make sure to dress for the cold.

Have a great Christmas and hope to see you again at Spyderfest - if they ever decide to tell us where it's going to be.:yes:

 Yuck!
paint the vehicles with undercoating???
Always undercoat but this crap will literally eat through...only thing I can compare to would be like leaving right next to the ocean..my truck gets washed (including under) more in winter than rest of year.
