• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It’s Mine!

For whatever reason they found more glitches or problems and have an update. Dealer couldn’t do it and talking to BRP, found it will take a few weeks before they’ll be able to do it. It rides really fine though.

Just talked to my dealer and I asked him about the software update. He told me they just need an HDMI cable with 2 male ends and he bought it locally and they updated the software

That is too funny. Gonna have a talk with my dealer soon. Thanks.

Let me know how you like the dash and the BRP Connect

Its got glitches. To listen to the radio in iTunes I have to start it playing as I cant access it on the dash. I can play songs, albums, playlists but unable to get to the radio part. While music is playing I can also hear the GPS giving me directions BUT when I switch to the GPS and it says something the music stops and I cant get it started. The FM radio only plays in the speakers but the phone music can play in either speakers or headset but not both. The owners manual doesn't have a lot of how to pair, how to set up the headset etc. so I had to figure it out. Switching from GPS to Music requires a long push of the joy stick. I'm going to start taking notes so I can give to the dealer or BRP and hope to get answers.

I hope the software update fixes the glitches. On the other hand . . .

I can see the screen much better than my ST. I can easily see the time, temp, and even the turn signals are very visible. I know that playing with it and using it I will get the hang of it and learn its features.

I dont understand. The dealer didnt install needed updates before delivery? Or is BRP shipping these things out needing updates that dealers cant do yet? It should be all ready to go upon delivery.

My wife just bought a 2017 Buick Encore with all the bells and whistles, including navigation.

We left the dealer decided to go to Outback so for fun we pulled it up on the navy screen. It tried routing us to where the Outback was about 5-6 years ago.

I called the number for GM Navigation and they want $159.99 pluse $3.50 shipping to send me an upgrade USB sick. :yikes: It is a NEW CAR!

Congrats

Super new ryde!! Good luck with the new tech. I just ordered a new truck and from reading the owners manual on line I'm gonna have to have the grandson start it for me.:banghead: Enjoy the ryde!!:firstplace: Looks like a winner!

Just curious about the temperature, is it the real temperature or the combination of real and engine that I have now on my RT

My Technician told me that "There's a bit of learning curve." attached to it's usage.
It'll be worth it!

Ya, a bit is an understatement! Once we get the hang of it it will be great but until then its quirky and glitchy. But, boy when we get it the way we like it . . . .!

I've already got over 200 miles on it and that half of what I put on the ST all last year!

I've heard that the local Ford dealer has high schoolers on retainer to come teach buyers of new cars how to navigate the electronics! :gaah:
