• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nice . . . I made a set of covers from some leftover closed cell neoprene wetsuit material I had left over . . . works great . . . I have big hands and it makes the grip much more comfortable . . . I used to get "pins and needles" sensations in my right hand, about 30 minutes or so into a ride . . . no longer experience that.

you are gonna love them. had mine on the rss for two years now!:2thumbs:

Hi, just wondering if you have heated grips? Was this model the clams-shell type that fits over your existing grip?

Yes they are the clamshells.
no I do not have heated grips, but the grips I installed were for heated grips on a gull wing .
install was easy,if you have a paddle shifter, there is some grinding to be done.i used a dermel with a sanding wheel.
i also used a hose clamp to bring the two sides together to lock.
i watched a video and a post with pics before I started and it made the mod a pice of cake.

Excellent! Thank you.

My ST had these grips too. They came with my left hand throttle/brake conversion. Only thing is, I hate them, big and chunky and give me blisters. And, worst of all they look like they should come with tassels and a pair of weekend warrior (weekday accountant) gay club leather chaps!

But, each to their own!

Just an FYI - I have these on my "Goldwing" that has heated grips and the heat is diminished some. Takes a bit longer to get warm and wasn't a problem because I also have Gerbing heated glove liners.
