• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ISCI Running Boards ?

but.............

I rather move product in a crap economy than look at it........you cant tell me it cost that much or it took that much R&D, they are a full mill company that creates MILL SPEC items.....i have custom stuff done for my fire department and it anit even in that expensive and is it much more intricate. Cant see..... oh well i will take there design to my guy and see how much he says to build them.

All of the things posted are both driver, passenger and specialty brackets. There's also talk about highway pegs and brake systems so who knows what just the driver boards will cost.

Regardless, I can do Kuryakyn, Cobra or Rivco for a quarter the price IF we decide we want some but I'm sure there are those that will pay $1000 for these so I hope they sell all they can make.

........you cant tell me it cost that much or it took that much R&D,

You're right - I can't tell you , because I have no idea how much it cost them for:

Design, Tools, Labor, Health Insurance, Materials, Patents, Liability Insurance, Legal Fees, General Overhead, Sending staff & Bike to shows, Advertising, etc.

I can tell you that the cost of the stress spending tens of thousands of dollars and countless hours on a product that *might* sell is not something you can put a price tag on.

If someone else thinks they can do a quality product for less - go for it - I'll believe it when I see it.

I'll take Quality over getting a 'deal' any day of the week - especially on an item that could mean life or death.

One of the site sponsors (Spydercity) has some floorboards that are much cheaper - but they are also not as complex or as good looking.

I'm not really interested in floorboards - but I do want to see what their brake lever system is all about - could have used it today while hanging off the Spyder like a monkey through the twisties.

$1100 for 2 floorboards and a brake peddle extension! That's beyond ridiculous and I suspect they will not be in the Spyder accessory business long with that kind of pricing. The absolute most I would expect to pay would be about $350 and even that's borderline.
:agree:

I'd rather sell 10 @ $2,500 each - less work = more profit.

Considering none of us knows the actual costs they have into these - who knows how many hundred they will have to sell just to get their R&D money back.

It's also unfair to compare products for HD or Victory. There are only 12,000 or so Spyders in the world - much smaller market - thus why Spyder accessories are going to be more expensive.

You get what you pay for - I'm sure there will be some cheap Chinese knock-offs sometime. :barf:

u dont always get what u pay for.....it seems to me, in this case, u pay more than what they are worth....imo

I think at this point it would be a good idea to see what the real final price is before everyone gets too excited. I'm sure there will be some more number crunching before these hit the streets.

$350?

Reality check time - good products cost good money. The $1,100 seems a bit high - but something in the $800 range would be fair.

Realize they have insurance in place to cover their :cus: incase something happens and you end up falling off.

Heck- Marcel is selling some really crappy looking ones for $700 !

:agree::agree::agree: I would love to get a set again its pending on price, times are really TOUGH! We'll see!

Talked to ISCI today...

I called ISCI today regarding their running boards. They told me that they have some manufactured but the owners are taking their time deciding on the pricing. So that seems to be the hold up. I think I'm going to look for an alternate design for now. Riding Season is here !!!!!!:chill:
