Installed the ISCI handbrake and got to admit this is a great product. The install on my RT-S SE5 was straight forward and everything went per the instructions. One point not covered in the instructions was the need to remove the rubber boot surrounding the Brake switch. From what I understand this rubber boot may be new on the RT for the 2011.
Now for the lever reach. I’ve seen several older posts discussing the need for an adjustable brake lever for the ISCI handbrake and have to agree that the lever reach is quite far . Although not too bad for me but almost too far for my wife. The company that seems to have a product that will solve this problem is Medal Arts but other posts have stated that they have not responded to emails or phone messages.
I called Medal Arts today and to my surprise Les Brown the owner answered the phone and we had a great talk about his adjustable lever. He stated that they are in final design from the prototype released earlier and expect to have the final version in production by early fall. We discussed the ISCI handbrake for the Spyder at length and he understands our need would be for only the Brake lever and Les stated he would offer the single lever when released versus buying a pair as listed on their website today. Les suggested for anyone that is interested to send him an email via the contact link on his website and he will add you to his list now of over 300 that will be notified when the liability issues and patent process is under control and production begins. As stated earlier, he expects all of this be solved by end of summer and early fall to be in production.
Here is the web link to the Medal Arts site if you interested in getting on the email list for the adjustable lever.

I also suggested to Les that he checkout Spyderlovers.com to learn more about all of us and our needs.
