• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is this something we should be doing??

thanks

Page 121 of my Manual:
Check brake fluid level. Replace every 2 years.

So the answer is: "Yes."
I knew I could count on you with read the manual question. lol. And I have read thev2013 and 2015 manual....but my retention is lacking. Must be early signs of CRS.

brake fluid change

Since my first brake caliper problem on a 84 Gold Wing, about 1987, I have been changing brake fluid every two years.
A fluid flush between brake pad replacements using a vacuum tool.
I have seen dark fluid. Helped a friend on a use bike he got that had cottage cheese in the caliper due to water.

Whatever you do, do not put Dot 5 in a Dot 4 system, they don't like each other. :banghead:

I have owned my Spyder for 7 years and have never had the clutch fluid or break fluid changed. Those two high dollar maintenance items plus the valve adjustment I just didn't think was necessary based off my personal experience. I guess maybe I could be wrong.

Also I don't know if it's the brake fluid, clutch fluid or both that take a long time to change it out and it must be hooked up to BUDDs during the process.:dontknow: Expensive procedure according to my dealer. But if it's necessary then it needs to be done. No amount of money saved is worth my life or someone else's.

If you think that it's an expensive hassle to deal with: try thinking about the expensive hassle of a breakdown... or worse!
Bite the bullet, and have it serviced.
After all; "Peace of Mind" is also worth a lot! nojoke
