• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is this normal?

Hello All,
We bought a 19 RTL in Phoenix orange/ Dark last Saturday and it will be deliver this week.....never rode any spyder or motorcycle on a highway before so this will be a learning curve for us. But really looking forward to the bike! The problem I'm having is every time i get on this site..... I find more to buy.;)
I'm sure that Lamonster Garage doesn't mind though, ordering things almost daily. So far I've ordered the following.......

LED headlights
led fog lights
Bright brake light kit
Lidlock
Swaybar
J&S jack
cat delete
Akrapovic silencer
idler pulley kit
oil change kit
gold plugs
magic mirrors
Bumpskid

This list doesn't even cover the riding jackets, Shoei helmet, sena radios, riding gloves,BRP back rest, BRP armrest, and laser alignment that we bought at the dealer!

Is this addiction normal????

Take Care
P.W.

Yes it's called "The Fever"!
Your list is a nice start!
:congrats: & :welcome:

Proper farkeling

Welcome------:congrats:

I think it depends if your going to do your own work or not. If YES start with the easy stuff first and have the tools on hand. Magic Mirrors are a must if you are going to do your own work. Safety and good lighting should also be at the top of the list.

Be sure to buy a farkel or three for your wife!!!!! Trunk mirror, luggage liners, good comms. for example.

Just my humble opinion now---- add-on noise enhancers should be the LAST farkel you spend big bucks on .

I like the idea of the trunk mirror for the wife....Do you know where I can find one, or a part number? I found one one on ebay but it says for 2015 and prior and ours is a 2019.

Thanks for your time and help!!

Congrats on the new ride. Baby it until the break in is over, then run it like you stole it. Don't pay attention to the trolls, they're just grumpy curmudgeons that can't feel us new guys enthusiasm.

Thanks for the encouragement guys!.....I was feeling down a little after reading some of the comments. But since getting the bike today all is good.

What is missing here ?

the people that "know" should have told you by now, that you need a REAL horn.
Maybe put that on the top of your list.

Consider the wife to be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) part of the Spyder. Above all else, do everything you can to NOT have to replace that. Just sayin'. :lecturef_smilie:

:D

Yes the want list is big, but keep in mind that list is WANTS not Need
Just keep in mind that you will love the spyder !!
And yes you will find yourself buying stuff on the WANT list !!!
