• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there any way of locking the Glove box on a 2010-19 RT??

Simply Stop; turn the wheels full lock left or right; turn the key fully counter-clockwise; pull the key out; and then if your glove box was pushed down to that click lock, it will be locked, as will the frunk!

Yes that will lock it ...... however breaking the lid off would take one good tug ...... JMHO ...Mike

Someone would have to know that's actually a glove box, and then spend time prying it open.

I do lock the glove box and bags when I stop, when I remember. I have even mistakenly left my key in twice during dinner, and come back to find it still there, but I know it only takes once. But I generally find (and hear) that people don't mess with bikes as much as cars... I think it's part of the "tough biker" reputation.

Even with the key in by the time they figure out which buttons to push and hold the brake pedal down, you would have finished your dinner and be ready to ride.:shemademe_smilie:

My frunk (2019) is always locked. I have to release it with the key push down and turn. (Opposite way of the seat for gas.)

But unless your RT is different to everyone else's, your Glovebox, the subject of this thread, won't be always locked even if the frunk is! :lecturef_smilie:

On all the 2010-2019 RT's I've seen, while the frunk locks simply by shutting it; the glovebox has a 'press to latch - push to open' latch system which will only lock if you do the 'turn handlebars to full lock either way and turn the key CCW 90° past the OFF position', so that the key slot is aligned across the Spyder, not along the centre-line! ;)

Agreed, I was referring to Woodaddict's mention of this locking the frunk. My key bezel on 2019 has symbols on it for showing lock, gas, and open frunk.
