• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What are they called and where to find them?

With all this talk about removing body panels, everyone should make sure they have spares of the mirrors mounts and clips. The mirror mounts we often hear get broken when the mirror is removed. Buy spares and keep them in the Spyder, you never know when you will need them...

That sounds like a great idea, especially since every time I take something off I'm holding my breath, but where can I find them, and what am I looking for? I get the feeling that if I just walk into a auto part or hardware store and show them a picture of the clip, they're gonna scratch their head and say "you want what?"

How about everything???

I may need to remove ALL of my body panels. I've had the decorative paint changed, and would like to clear coat it. I have been advised that it would be best to remove all panels - frunk, trunk, bags, etc... is this almost impossible? Would it be feasible to just remove the side panels and tape up around the headlights, etc.? Advice, please; I've never had any vehicle painted before, and have no idea what I should be looking at.

Paint can lid lever works, Harbor Freight tool is what I like to use, custom pliers

I bent the jaws on the harbor freight tool using a vise and hammer to suit my hand, and then ground and polished the jaws to where they meet nicely. I've also used the paint can lifter and it works well and could be polished (sanded) and little to be my second choice. A guy can't have too many tools for his travel or home tool kit!!
