• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it usual BRP pushes ordering their products so much?

Hello, I've been following the forum and BRP for 2 years now. Question... Is it usual BRP pushes ordering their products so much?
Thanks

Yes, although BRP does not (last time I looked) have pure synthetic; and BRP - XPS 5W40 synthetic blend is only rated to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, therefore riders in the Southwest USA, Australia and other high temperature regions, may require a more suitable oil. At about 1200 miles I switched my Ryker to 10W50 pure synthetic.

But BRP is not the only company to do so. Before Harley-Davidson private labeled synthetic oil, dealers chided the idea, citing concerns of "bearing skate". OTOH, H-D 360 oil was competitively priced at most dealers.

Yeah, I have about 15 different products/services I follow. It's rare that I receive an email soliciting order, order order.... Every 2 weeks from BRP. That's all, simple question. If you don't like answering questions feel free to scroll on by. Bye

Triumph & Kawasaki do the same thing. I think you can opt out - or just mark it as spam.

We get it on this site also. I don’t want to mention the name, as I believe they are a site sponsor, but they’re here. No Dave, I’m not referring to you. This bloody one I’ve marked to ignore! no hints, you figure it out.

BRP hits us heavily right across the board. Spyder, Ski Doo, water craft, clothing and accessories. Oil, parts. No other company I have dealt with sends so much so often.
Maybe it also depends on how many of their sports you are involved with.

BRP Tires ? ? ?

:gaah: Maybe if enough people would contact BRP and ask some questions about this issue, we might see a change.
Just a thought, BRP are you listening.

Give us something to work with on Tires too.
I would like to have a second option or two on tire manufacturers. ......

It seems that so many companies require so much information from the customer to address problems, register warranties, communicate etc. Then they abuse this information by constantly calling, mailing or E mailing. Then a while later they sell this info to other companies who start all over again.
I give as much partial and incorrect info as possible. With partial info (incomplete or different spelling of my name) I can then tell who sells my info to who. It's a game.

Getting out of bed with Kenda? Isn't going to happen! BRP is in love with her! She gives them a big discount on her services rendered.

I get no direct marketing from CanAm whatsoever. I don't understand what the fuss is about.

I don't either, but many do. I refused to give an email address when I bought the Spyder as I do with most purchases. We need that to complete the sale!! Then keep your Spyder, car, refrigerator, or whatever. I'll buy elsewhere or buy used.

It's easy to opt out of DM from most companies, including Can-Am. As I said, I don't understand the fuss.

If you get none then you wouldn't understand. Part of this is as I have said, an abuse of our information. (Not just BRP)
Do you like junk mail ?
