• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it possible to re-flash the Instrument Cluster firmware?

Does anyone know if it is possible to restore/reflash/upload the instrument cluster firmware on a 2015 Spyder RT Limited? I do have the BUDS system on my laptop. If it can be done, where would I obtain the firmware for the cluster and 2) how would I install the firmware using the BUDS system? Thanks again for any and all help.

It IS possible but you may have a hard time getting the firmware file. It will probably have to be obtained from a dealer. This is because as a retail customer of BUDS, you do not have access to the Can Am in-house support system, called "Bossweb". If you have the most current version of BUDS which is version E3.8.2 dated 11/1/17, (after that they switched to BUDS2), AND there is an update available from the software you currently have, then the IMPORTANT Update button at the top of the BUDS screen will not be greyed out. If that button is NOT greyed out, then you'd click on it and follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware.

Ummm :hun: :dontknow: I thought only the ECU could be “flashed” for various fuel/air running & maybe shift point parameters prior to '18. The '18 to current “new” dash would need various updates to keep up with app support. :dontknow: :dontknow:

I don't know about "flashing" the ECU, but I have my Spyder configured to connect to my home WiFi network, and have downloaded updates in the past, including downloading the Apple CarPlay app when it became available.

I was actually out doing stuff to my Spyder today, with the intent of going for a ride tomorrow, and decided to check to see if there were any udpates.
There weren't.

Starting with the 2024 models, updates could be downloaded and installed over wifi. From the 2017-2023 model years updates are only possible through BUDS2. Prior to 2016 models, BUDS is used to diagnose, service, and update the various systems. Any software/firmware updates for model years prior to 2024 will have those update files included with the current version of BUDS/BUDS2. As stated above, BUDS was frozen in time with the release of version E3.8.2. BUDS2 is still very much active. A new version was released yesterday 18 Sep, and then another update was released today, 19 Sep. I have not found the time to see if there are any new firmware files in the 19 Sep release...

For Aviator 19xx, use your BUDS to find your current software version for your cluster. It should be: 710003942
