Bob, if that's true. Why did they raise the downshift RPM's last year? Just asking.
The change in the RPM when downshifting was to do with accelerating. If your RPM is to low and you accelerate quickly it will downshift first.
Prior to the update, if you where below 3,500 rpm and you accelerated rapidly you could burn out the clutch, now it will downshift first to prevent burn out.
I would say the downshifting is by design and it is in the manual.
