I'd think as long as your doctor clears you to drive, you should be able to ride.Does anyone currently ryding have an implanted heart pacemaker?
I have been diagnosed with the need for a pacer. Is it going to effect my Spyder riding?
Hey David. My wife has been riding with a pacemaker for 4 years. From a health standpoint, you'll be at less risk when operating a vehicle than you are now. That’s the point, right? If your question is about the pacemaker itself? Your Dr. should go over what activities to avoid relating to EMFs and magnetic fields, if he hasn't already. For example, if you are used to holding your cell phone in your left hand while taking, or keeping it in a left side jacket pocket, he'll want you to switch to the right side. And vice versa if it will be implanted on the right side. Your welding days are over. Stuff like that. Riding the Spyder is not a problem with that type of issue, although you don't want to be hugging the spark plugs. If you have a wireless helmet mounted intercom system, or two way radio close, you will want to speak to the Dr. about that technology and power level to see what he says. The technology gets better every year. By all means, have the procedure. Good Luck.Does anyone currently ryding have an implanted heart pacemaker?

I should probably get one after some of the close calls I've had.
I have had a pacemaker for 6 years now. The list they give when it is installed is enormous, but the main thing to avoid doing is to not lean over the motor while it's running. As long as you are 12 inches away from it, you should have no problem. Your cell phone is a bigger issue - don't put it in your breast pocket.Does anyone currently ryding have an implanted heart pacemaker?
