• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

iPod question

The new iPod that comes with the Spyder has already been synched with a computer, so when I try to sync it with mine, it wants to erase what's on there (the pictures and videos) before it'll let me add my music. Is there anyway to keep the photos and still add music?

Saving your photoes, videos from an Ipod Touch.

When you connect the Ipod to your home computer you should be able to see the device (using My Computer) and read the files located on the Ipod. Simply copy these files to a folder on your computer before synching the Ipod Touch with Itunes.

Hope this helps.

I did it a different way. Set synching to manual, then manually load the iPod by dragging and dropping. Tedious, but it works. You can get instructions via "help". If you dump everything by allowing it to reset the ID and synch, it will also lose its "BRP" ID and the loaded files. They goofed us up when they initially loaded the iPods through another computer. The iPod doesn't like you to switch host computers. ITunes won't recognize the device properly to synch unless you erase it all and start again. BTW, I was able to copy the photos to my hard drive as a backup, but not the videos, for whatever reason.

They may have realized this after they started shipping RTs and tried to fix the oversight. I received a CD with my owner's manual that has all of the pictures and videos on it. This I loaded on my computer and went ahead and synced the Ipod. Didn't really care if the photos and videos were on the Ipod or not.
