• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

iPod integration

When I first got the bike, I hooked a bluetooth receiver to the Aux port and liked it. Then I picked up a $20 iPod on eBay with some cosmetic flaws and used that. Great!

However, I want to get it to where I can use either with no big effort. It occurred to me that I could break the audio lines, mix the two sources together, and then it is up to the driver to make sure you don't play both at once. But as far as I can tell you can't stop the iPod. If you switch to Aux/iPod and there is an iPod connected, it is going to play!

Other ideas: FM transmitter in trunk connected to BT receiver and tune to FM. I've had a problems with these in the past, especially in an urban area. But it is a possibility.

Detect a bluetooth connection and switch the cable with a relay or other electronic switch between the iPod and the Aux (this seems like a lot of work).

Put a Raspberry Pi with a Bluetooth dongle and an external USB audio -- feed the iPod into it and let it traffic cop the audio. Another one that is a lot of work.

Did I miss something? Is there a way to just tell the bike to stop playing the iPod without shutting off the aux input?
