I have just acquired a new iphone6 which I am very pleased with and was going to be very excited to be able to play my music on my 2014 RTS. Unfortunately I immediately discovered that the Iphone has an 8pin lightening connection and of course the Spyder has a 32 pin cord. Thinking no problem buy a 8 pin lightening to a 32 pin adapter (available just about anywhere). After some research I am being told that the adapter will not transmit audio, which means that we can not use our apple phones with our Syders. I can hardly believe that apple has been putting these systems in motorcycles/Can Ams and then have made it impossible to use them as intended. Does anyone out there have information on this dilemma,or have I got the wrong information.

I am using my IPhone 6 with an adapter on my 2010 rt without issue. Make certain that the adapter is plugged all the way into the phone, mine is stiff. if it is not fully seated it will not work.

make sure you get the apple adapter.

I am also using the lightning adapter with no issues. When I was researching this, the word on Amazon was to make sure you get the APPLE adapter that costs about $30 (even on Amazon). The cheap $10 ones only charge, they don't do audio.
