• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Invisible brake LED's

Gee.. You must have not only been reading my mind, (Very simple!), :D but those of a whole bunch of the rest of us here too!
Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Question: Is there any way to mount the LEDs around the headlights and foglights on an RT?

You guys must be spying in our lab! :lecturef_smilie:
Stay tuned, we've been working on this application. Everything we've made for the RT will be almost invisible. Clean look but distinguished. It will be on our site in a couple of days.

  Is it soup yet??? :roflblack:

The fronts look great. Check them out: Vader lights:ohyea:

The brake lights are ready to go; I ordered a set last night. They're $84.95 + shipping ($6 to Ohio). They ship on Wednesday. Now, I'm looking forward to the "Vader" lights for the front...

 Wow! I am in so much trouble now...
How can I sneak those past the Missus, and then convince her that they came on the bike originally and I just figured out how to turn them on???
When you guys see my obituary in the paper... at least pay her fair market value for the bike when she gets out of jail... :D

I'm working on my stuff all this week, slowly. I'm coming into my office about 2 hours each day to check on things (we have a limited staff this week since I always give the last week off... with pay for all their hard work during the year) so I'll mostly be working in the lighting afternoons and if necessary next week in the evenings. I have my camera all charged up and ready.

I'm also adding in an AEM volt meter, and several audio/bluetooth things I'm experimenting with. Bluetooth devices to our SENA headsets operate one at a time in a priority arrangement. Highest to lowest priority-- Phone, Intercom, other audio devices. I'm adding in a small audio mixer and 2 Bluetooth receivers (attached is a block diagram as things stand right now. STILL needing to experiment). There's some head scratching I'm still doing so don't haul off and spend momma's money before I 'bless it'.

It will be fun to see what you do with lighting up your RT.

I could not have worded this any better myself... This could happen after Spyderfest!!!

Since we haven't started our winter semester, I had the day off :D.
I took advantage of the sunny, if cold (low 30s), day to snag a few Scavenger Hunt points, then arrived home to find that the USPS had delivered my invisible LED run/brake lights. I resisted the temptation to dive in and complete the install before supper, but did open the package and read the instructions. They were clearly written and illustrated, particularly as this is a really simple install.

My one kvetch with the TricLED fender lights was that I'm a confirmed Posi-Tap installer, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that these came not only with Posi-Taps, but with the Posi-Taps already on the set. Thanks, Reggy!

Start to finish, it's eight Torx bolts to remove the rear fairing. You can even use the RT's own tools to complete the entire job, although for professional appearance, you'll need to kick in about 10" of wire loom. Be forewarned, if you're a big guy, that the space BRP left inside the tupperware is tight, and there's not a lot of slack on the light wire harness. Be patient, and it's still a quick install. I was very deliberate, and still finished in about 45 minutes.

Couldn't be happier, especially when my wife said, "Wow! They'll see you now," when I applied the brakes. Two thumbs up!
:2thumbs:

If someone wants pictures, I can, but there's really nothing new to add to the ones earlier in the thread. They go in easy and come on BRIGHT!:yikes:

No problem; they're a really fast install, so as long as you get the mail...:roflblack:

Thank you for the feedback, always good to hear them. From now on every order shipped will include the 10" wire loom in the kit
