I bought my STS in oct 2013 thanks to my wife who said if you really want one go get it ....I got up from my chair she asked me where i was going. I told her i had one already picked out :yes:and it came home 3 days later

Well bring it up to July out here in the desert and 110+ and i was riding for the day took a hard left got my leg against the bike and 2nd degree burn later from the bolts i was headed home and NOT happy ...parked the bike and heard blurp blurp like a coffee maker I popped the seat and gas cap was hotter than you know what..so i got online found this forum and saw the heat issues going on. Called my dealer and told him what happened to my leg and what the gas tank was doing AND said i already know this is not a isolated incident. he asked my how and i told him and SHOWED him when i got there. Where i got told about the "retrofit" for 2013 sts that i had already read about here that a few had posted that they had received so 2 weeks waiting on parts and i got her back.

I can honestly say the 2014 air scoops make a HUGE!!! difference on the left side ...no more boiling fuel..no more burning my leg..at 105F bolts get warm to the touch but that is it and it gets warm in in city traffic below 35mph but no where NEAR as hot as it use to

to the roadster world and this sites. Your in a really tough area for heat but seems this change has really helped you. Hope they can get these panels out to all those with this heat issue. Thanks for posting your finds it realy helps...:thumbup:

Current temp here 72. with a predicted high of 90 (Thats' F not C)

Well put it truly to the test this last weekend 114 in bullhead 5 bars on heat but no burnt left leg...have figured out that in town below 45 I'm at 5bars on heat no matter the outside temp but at 60+ if i set cruise i drop to 4 bars heat...before scopes it was 5-6 bars in town and 5 on the highway no matter what speed i went:yikes: :doorag:.
Also noticed if there is a crosswind it grabs the bike now more with the scopes that it did without them ...but ill take a little pull left or right vs cooking my legs any day of the week
