• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Interstate Driving

Aside from the notorious death grip you've now heard much about and many ways to stiffen up your spyder it will always drift on roads as they are not flat. I've found on longer highway runs the less I hyper focus and the more I just let it run drift the less fatigue and mental drain I suffer. The real wheel not running in a "track" often causes the nervous feeling that you are aware of at 35 but at 80 things get a little amped up so to speak.
Just try not to over correct and micro manage the driving be aware let it rip and she finds her own way. I go the most comfortable with one hand as I don't constantly try to correct and just cruise.
if its a actual issue with your spyder that would be a different animal all together
 
Just wanted to say thanks for all the opinions on this subject. I have practiced loosening my grip, letting the Spyder pretty much drive itself. I adjusted my front stock shocks to a 4, which also seemed to help with the handling. But I do believe the majority if the problem was me. I can now drive 70-75 MPH with no problems at all. I really think about the "death grip" occasionally, and it helps me to stay loose.

If any other newbie runs into this problem, please loosen up first. That makes a ton of difference!

That is kind of like a lot of things on this RYDE, all of a sudden you get it and the ride gets cooler.

I can take my hands completely off the grips and my Spyder goes straight down the road. Like thre others said give it a little time and you will get comfortable on the highway. Enjoy!

Not necessarily. Too little toe-in can cause the Spyder to follow road irregularities, making it climb the crown, but there are other possibilities. Suspension looseness or damage on one side could do it. This would eventually be accompanied by irregular tire wear on one side. On heavily convex or concave roads this can happen to any Spyder, although insufficient toe-in makes it worse. The most likely cause other than insufficient toe-in would be improperly calibrated steering sensors. If the snsors are not centered, the VSS will try to steer the Spyder in a direction other than straight. Sounds like you may need to see your dealer. If everything is right, the Spyder should go straight ahead on a flat, level road.

It is definitely not the road and after reading the service manual I suspect the steering sensors are not set correctly.
