• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Interesting mirror replacement option

Yup! Muth has been in our posts for quite a few years now. It's not a secret that the OEM turnsignal indicators cannot be seen in normal daylight. :gaah: Muth has the nicest-looking fix for the issue... at a price!

More interesting???

So is this something Rivco is making or is gonna make or is just experimenting with? I like the idea of the mirrors out on a stalk. My elbows are in the way of seeing about half of my mirrors and I have been thinking of trying to mount a mirror higher up and further out.

Rivco knows nothing about what I did. All the items except the mirrors were designed and fabricated by myself.

Still interesting....but have you heard about oil?

Talking about motor oil on this website is more painful than a root canal.

FWIW, I did look into the Muth mirror upgrade before designing my own mirror installation. It is a quality product.

I also recall reading or seeing a video saying that when using heat to release the oem mirrors to use great care. Seems the BRP plastic softens at a much lower temp than the car mirrors more commonly upgraded.

Hi Paul,
I like your "Out of the Box" thinking! :2thumbs:
Are you planning on making this for other folks, or will you keep your bike unique?

Currently it will remain unique. I have considered how I would change the design if produced. I know the effort I need to make to really dial in the design.

This is not an inexpensive mod. Rivco is $250 alone for mirrors, so as a kit to be plug and play, guessing it would be around $500 which seems a bit more than most folks here would spend.

Honest answer, maybe, but for now it remains unique to our 2014 RTs.

I never liked the mirror style from day one. The floppy mounts fueled the fire and the dim turn indicators on the instrument panel just added more reason to do something.

I first was going to use Audi A4 mirrors I got at the boneyard. Next I was scoping out VW mirrors. In the end, I decided on these.

Best safety feature is that now the queen can easily see without me telling her, upcoming turn.

Sorry I heard Rivco in the video and assumed that the whole thing was from them. Its a great idea,I think the stock mirrors suck as,at least for me they are partially blocked by my arms/elbows.
