There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Interesting buy for a Spyder project

Undercarriages... It looks decent up top; but it's what's hidden that'll bite you! :gaah:
So are you going to make them an offer? Good Luck!

What kind of project can you do on it? Haven't seen any real projects done to the outside or inside of a Spyder apart from the peripherals and two straight rear axle 4 wheel conversions.

I'm genuinely interested in project Spyders, what are the sort projects that can be done to a Spyder?

If I had the space and the tools I once had, I'd like to try to fit a Spyder with a BMW boxer engine with shaft drive. I think it's doable with some ingenuity and tinkering. Maybe one of these days...

The project sounds OK and certainly one thats been proven in that capacity before but apart from the shaft (which can have as much against as for like drive line back lash that can lock wheels although I guess their ABS would fix that), the engione got many more ponies? or a fatter torque curve? the Boxer could lower CoG somewhat.

I mean I'm all for people tinkering for the sake as well to have their own thing, just wondering if your shopping for a perceived benefit? If you like shaft drives and want some more torque maybe a Guzzi 1200 with shaft will be around and it will also have a lovely V profile if viewing it from front on. I saw the other day a US development of a V4 transverse engine for a bike at about 1600cc I think.

Found it, cop a gander at this, that would be PHAT as the kids say!

And sounds even better, looked through some of the video's and a guy grabs a big handful of throttle and it revs up but doesn't seem to be pulling like a 14yo or anything?? Wheres the 164Hp?? :spyder:

I love the sound though and for you guys in the States it would move it a step closer to all American metal. ;)

If I won the lottery.......

I would like to try
1. Relocate the battery
2. Move the front exhaust pipe down and underneath the engine
3. Enlarge the gas tank

Of course, I won't hold my breath waiting for it to happen.

Air cooled?

Boxer engines are pretty sweet, but how would an air cooled engine do under all that plastic? I think this may be tricky.
