• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I like our BRP aka Sena Bluetooth system. Great intercom function.

If you want to communicate with your passenger only I would suggest the cheapest if the helmet to helmet like Scala or Sena or UClear

+1 on the Sena. Just need the headsets connected to each other and you are good to go. If you don't need the other stuff, just don't hook it in, though it is also very handy to have the phone connected too.

SENA SMH10

I have the SMH10D-10 & the SMH10D-11 in stock and on sale now
give me a call you will not be able to match the performance of them
for the price... ask anyone here who have them they are simply the
easiest to operate and the sound quality is un matched.
Call me any time or email me at [email protected]

Scala G9

That is what we have. FM is nice, intercom is great, blue tooth with Phone is nice call mom everyday, GPS off phone works great.

just saying:doorag:

I have the OEM system installed, but it has far more capability than you are looking for.
Starcom has good systems.

The bluetooth systems seems to work well, but my preference is a wired system powered off the bike electrical system.
I just have too many of those damn little vampire chargers keeping all my electronic doodads ready to go.
I don't want a couple more for my motorcycle.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I got the Sena's from Dave, the charge lasts a long time and they work as advertised. We use them bike to bike and stream music from our smart phones. Phone calls are easy to make. Price was very good.:)

I love my Scala Rider Teamset Pro. A new version the Q1 came out recently (http://www.cardosystems.com/scala-rider/scala-rider-q1-teamset/1) and allows you to have music and GPS via Bluetooth if you want it. Our previous generation doesn't allow for this and while I didn't need that functionality when we first started riding, I'd love to have it now (especially GPS). Unlike my model it's compatible with their other sets. Also, unlike mine, you will be able to update it's firmware to keep it current and bugs fixed. For the price, I don't think you can beat it.

I don't work for the company, but I love our system. I'm debating selling our on ebay so I can get the newer model.

no brainer...
SENA SM10. Intercom works great, and the bonus is you get GPS from your phone if you want it. You can also intercom with other people riding Sena SM10 if you pair them. You can select who you intercom with, so you can communicate with your passenger, or other ryders or everyone.

Install takes about 10 minutes in two helmets.

There you go...!!

The major ones Scala..several models, Sena and chatterbox was not mentioned but also good. Some helmets like hjc come with a cut out for the chatterbox. In the end you may have to do a bit of comparing features and prices...good luck..

We have the Sena SM5 model and it is great for rider to passenger, Bluetooth connection to the Zumo 660 and the iPhone 5. Works well with SIRI making calls and streaming music from the iPhone stops when you get an incoming call. My wife got it for use using eBates and Amazon, so she got a pretty good deal on it. Install was a breeze on my helmet and we got her a new helmet, 3/4 Bell that has a flip up face shield. Installation on her new helmet went easier than mine.

May have been answered before, but do any of these models allow driver and passenger to pair to their own phones, plus intercom, plus GPS? Thought the new Q1 might, but hard to tell.

We have the Sena SMH10's and maybe I wasn't clear. My wife rides her own bike and we can talk bike to bike(intercom). We each have our own smart phones and pair them to our individual phones. I steam music from my phone to my helmet, my wife streams music to her helmet from her phone(she does not like my music). I have not linked my unit to the bluetooth but it can be done. We can each make phone calls on our own phones. We got the SMH10 for the added range bike to bike the SMH5 should be just fine if your wife is your passenger or even bike to bike with less range. I got my setup as a pair from our site sponsor Motorcycle Dave and the service and price were great. If you want to see what the units will do watch the videos on http://www.revzilla.com/2012-bluetooth-communicator-gear-guide
Good luck on your choice.

Got ours in the mail yesterday from a private party on CL..new in the box....updated firmware this morning, paired...install tonight ...then a test ride to see how they work...no desire for phone...but music from my droid might be nice...can I put Sirius/XM on the Spyder ?
