• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I gotta tell ya.... gettin' in to work on the ST is a WHOLE lot different than working on the RS....
Just getting the body panels on and off was a CHORE!!!!! they don't fit right..... next time I do it.. I'll drill new holes.. about 1/2" off the center of the ones on the body panels to make them fit....the mirrors were an experience that will be a WHOLE lot easier next time!!!!.... I learned some new words today... and increased my vocabulary.....nojoke .... 3 different size bolt heads.... one hex, and two different sizes of torx... on the same panel... and some are hidden where ya don't know what they are....til ya find that ya don't have a wrench that fits.....AKKKKKKKKK. Make sure ya have some baggies ta put the bolts in.. and mark where they came from....so ya can put it back together..... ( wish I had done that)

But... it is all back together!!!! FB is Happy Happy Happy .. and she has her CB... and rear luggage rack!!!!
no bolts left over!!!!

Great job Mark! :2thumbs:

Is it the rt cb kit? I'll agree, the st's body work is a total pain to work with, I had to pull almost all of the front body work just to put in the 12v outlet, and I invented plenty of new words, I think some in strange languages lol

any tips on what you do differently if doing it again. definitely doing this on the new ST.

thanks! figure learn from others ....

Hi,
What is the model of the drink holder, and what support bar did you use on the J&M??

Thanks
The drink holder is a Butler, made for the RT, also fits the ST. The support plate that the J&M mounts to is the same one I used on FB's RS. I think I used one for a Yamaha J&M mount.... I was in a CB shop that had a bunch of different mounts and picked one that would work on the RS the way I had it mounted. To make it work on this bike, I had to turn it upside down. It is bolted to the radio with only 2 screws instead of 3..... seems solid, but if I ever get to a shop that has a selection I can pick up and look over some different mounting plates, I may pick a different one so I can get the 3rd screw in place. Or I could build one..... (that would probably be easier)
