Readjusted the limits on my homeowners the same day since State Farm was kind enough to double my premium because of hurricanes that haven't hit the state....:banghead:

I did the same thing. House premium jumped $400.00 for the same reason as yours. Just got a letter saying this will increase more because initially I got a reduction because they thought roof was a certain style. They said they took pics and found that it wasn't. I was told to expect another increase. We'll just see about that.

I shopped about 20 insurance companies. Best price I got was McGraw Insurance (Pacific Speciality Insurance Co.) $438.00. 1-800-303-5000.

I got rid of my ZX14 to get my RT-S, and finally got my insurance bill yesterday. I have State Farm, a perfect driving record (except for the crash where my Spyder got totalled last year, not my fault) and perfect credit.

HOLY COW!!! State Farm is charging me way more for the Spyder than they did for my ZX14! The total premium for the RT-S is $988/6 months! I carry full coverage with $500,000 CSL, Uninsured/Underinsured, $250 deductable, I do have a lot of insurance. That being said my 2007 GoldWing ran me $400/6 months, my B-King is $375/6 months, all for the exact same coverage as the Spyder. Even my last Spyder was dramatically less expensive to insure than this one, same policy same agent. I have checked with several other companies and for the same coverage found similar rates, what is the deal with insurance on this thing???

Get with Foremost . I have a blue RT it cost me 461.00 per year.

with statefarm its mainly CC engine plus the cost of the bike. the spyder is not cheap...

also where you live makes a big difference. if there is alot of theft there expect higher rates....

i am $430 per year but they assume that you are not riding it during the winter here so they discount based on that also part of their mutual line meaning been with then a long time. lowest rates they offer. here in pa no discounts for motorcycle safety course with statefarm ... oh well

Progressive wanted $2,000 a year for Maryland insurance. Foremost, full coverage including my Suzuki Volusia VL800 cruiser. total bill $1000 for the year for both. Can't beat Foremost

Markel Insurance, $460 a year in TN, No hits on my record, "M" endorcement on my drivers licence and took the MSF Riders Edge course for a 10% discount on my rates for 3 years.:2thumbs:

Again, if you are over 50 try foremost thru AARP...we pay $280 in FL with $250 deductible

Approximately the same for me from Markel with all of the above discounts... location is the TX hill country.. Markel has been easy to deal with.. I have Geico for everything else (for over 25 years) but they were about twice as much for some reason...

Do yourself a favor and call Marc Fischer at 1-877-537-2555. He is a professional, incredible pricing and I received my documents almost immediately. Spyders are what he does ! ! :2thumbs:

Kind of upset of Geico on that... one of the highest!! And USAA offers theirs but thru Progressive... Little higher than Markel!

I just change to Allstate and pay $265.00 a year. Increase coverage to 100000/30000. Got a discount for Motorcycle safety course, Transferring from Geico, and for multiple policy's.

wow thats a great price for that coverage level... :clap:

i would consider but State Farm Mutual is so low for my SUV and Harley as well that would probably be a wash and I have a do not drop coverage on my SUV with them that they issued for a short period a few years ago to my polocy so they can not drop me no matter what :doorag:
