• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I found it difficult to insert a small screw driver into the dash slot. So I took one small cheep screwdriver and reformed it ( that bend to Ya'll Yankees ) to fit under the wind scren. Have fun.

Well done..!!

I have one of those.. Was made to adjust carbs but works great. Thanks for the visuals...:2thumbs:

OR

I don't like to damage or mis-use tools so I bent a small nail and put it in a pair of needle nose vice-grip pliers ...........just a thought .....Mike

YES THAT IS EASIER ...............BUT

Thanks. I always unscrewed the windshield. That's a time saver...[/QUOTE
However, if you accidently mis-thread, or cross-thread one or more of those bolts ......to fix that problem is enormously EXPENSIVE and very time consuming ....................if you have some time check a parts fiche' to see what's involved .........just sayin......Mike

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

I'm not understanding.
Are you suggesting that its better to use a bent screwdriver to remove a screw, rather than remove parts as they were designed to ?

I think you have a better chance of properly removing the windshield and using a regular screwdriver to remove the dash screws.
A home-made bent screw driver will more likely strip the heads of the screws.

:hun:....Dear ThreeWheels ...My post #7 has nothing to do with SCREWDRIVERS .......and since you have an RT ...we are not discussing your or anyone's RT instrument cluster...................:D...Mike

Mike, does yours come in left and right hand? :dontknow::cheers:

a short ( very short ) flat blade jewellers screwdriver is by far the best. Nothing to remove and no damage done. Align it in the holes and press and pry, then the othe side. had mine out numerous times fro electrical add on's and such. Very easy and cheap. Good luck.

I agree with you. The delivered wind screen was very close to the holes in the dash, thus the bent tool. I now have the BRP 23 inch screen and any old small screw driver will work as there is lots of space. I really like the screen too.

Ahhhh

4 screws to remove the windshield. Then a flat tip to remove the cluster. I should have been clearer. I did one 3 days ago.
