Instant start

Anyone know a procedure that will convert a 2014 RT LTD to the instant start mode like the new models. Thanks

I think the difference in the new models is the result of a change in the basic boot up of the electronic system(s). Don't think it can be modified without computer programming knowledge/skill not available to us.

Its only on the F3 and F3S. All models with the color display do not get the instant start.

The procedure is to go to the nearest dealer and plunk down some cash for an F3. :roflblack:

I thought instant-start was only for the 16 F3-P - the police version.

The F3 16 I believe still has the mode button-push but is fairly fast, like the RS (quicker than my ST). The way I read it, if you're a police-person you don't have to push Mode or wait at all; the rest of us have to wait - the time varies between the simple screen of the RS/F3 and the fancier screens of the ST/RT. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

I really think that the Spyder's safety has been confirmed by all our miles of travel, and if at all possible I'd love it if BRP could update the software for us all.

You can not get the so called instant start on any unit with color display only the black & white display F3 and F3S do not need that warm up time.. All 2016 models except F3 and F3S will need warm up time. That includes the new F3T and F3 LImited since they are returning to color display

it's a softwear thing and not available to us as yet. I believe the F3's are quicker than the GS/RS/RSS but much faster than the ST's and RT's...:banghead::banghead:
