• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installing wheel chocks in trailer

Need some help to get my trailer ready for picking up my Red RT-S SE5 hopefully someday soon! Still waiting for delivery although my NC dealer said they should get shipping notice anyday now.

Need to know the distance between the front tires. If someone would measure center tire to center tire of the front wheels and let me know it would be really helpful. I would like to install my wheel chocks to get ready for the big day.

Don't use motorcycle wheel chocks as I believe the curved sides come too high for the location of the fenders on a Spyder.

If you are talking about small triangle shaped chocks that sit on the trailer floor and simply stop forward motion, please disregard my words of caution.

The few times i had to trailer my Spyder i didn't use chocks i just strapped it though the wheels [double] 80+ miles each way.
Never even moved an inch.

I use straps in both directions, but I also use chocks with them. For one thing, they allow me to load the trailer to the appropriate balance point for the tongue weight very easily. I just use plastic wedge-shaped RV chocks from Walmart. I drilled them and use wingbolts to attach them to the floor. I don't worry too much about the chock spacing with these chocks. Even if they are off a couple of inches, they do a good job on the wide tires. I use the ratchet straps to pull the Spyder against the chocks, then secure the back wheel in the opposite direction. I like to cross-tie the rear with two tie-downs. It doesn't bounce to the side that way.

Thanks for all the help. I had a buddy make some chocks out of diamond plate that I plan to mount this weekend and will post a picture.
