Installing H4 headlights

Started to add Lamonster led fog lights and new headlights tonight. It was only 35* so why not? I watched the video a couple of times and got a little information from the owners manual.
Fog lights only are a snap, if it was warmer start to finish would have been no more than an hour. Now the headlights. I have a 2016 F3S with a factory windshield. Before I start tearing things apart what all needs to be removed because with just the side panels removed I can not see or feel the headlights. Looks like I need to remove the windshield, some front panels and maybe the instrument panel.
anyone with an F3S done this, hints?

PS: Another bitch to BRP, What's wrung with making lights and wear items easily replaceable by the owner?

I have a 2015 F3S with a windshield and I did the install myself. You need to read your operating manual. There is a section on how to replace your headlight bulbs. I removed windshield first and then followed the directions on replacing headlight bulbs. I also watched Lamont's video so I knew how to assemble the new bulbs. Rubber boot was a little tough getting off the old bulbs but they do pull off and you will need them for new bulbs. After new LED bulbs installed I used tie wraps to secure the extra wiring and attached boxes to keep them from bouncing around. Install is not difficult just watch video, read manual and take your time!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbup:

I hear you brother, my vid was a proof of concept for the Houdinis out there but not practical for everyone. Unfortunately, in order for you to properly have access to the headlight assembly everything has to come off except the dash. Even thought I was able to do the whole thing with just the service panels off, I wanted to see what was the bare-minimum I could remove.

The windshield, mirrors, service center fairing, console swivel node cover must come off. The console fairings can me moved w/o removal but you better wrap them in tape or you will scratch the hell of of them. If you want to keep them 100% scratch free; remove them. The headlight assembly once you remove the hardware will still be attached by the adjustment cable. You will only get so much play out of them and the space to work is still tight. I found the left side assembly had less slack on the cable than the right.

This is not something you will be doing often so make sure you triple check everything before you put back everything. I have tried 3 different sets of LED's for general testing and my next installation will be HID's. For me is a 5 minute job so I can play around as often as I like but I understand for most a full disassembly is required.
