There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Installing center and rear front fender lights

Hey group. Question for the electronics gurus out there. I'm putting the center and rear front fender lights on my ST-S and all I can find online are instructions for the RT. They say to remove the headlight and tap the line for the marker light. Problem is the ST lights are not removable in the same way as the RT and don't have a marker light. My marker light is in the front fender. Can I tap it from there and just run the power wire up to the blinker to get the secondary blinker effect? There is no video on line that I can find and no threads to speak of.

If you want to have your lights just as running lights, get your power from your marker light on the fender. That's a pretty easy job. IMHO, that looks nicer (less busy) than when they flash opposite your turn signals.

:popcorn:please share pic when done:thumbup: and yes can tap on the fender marker lights & snake around I did when installing the tric rings for fog lights tapped to opposite side for each to eat up the slack & keep clean. (Just lil things I may do differently)
& now the rings are same as driving lights & the SpyderPops LED bump skid :clap::doorag:
Current driving lights:E0ADA38D-2CE0-49A4-8922-CEC4911DA22D.jpg as far as blinkers go, the fender blinkers are tapped to each blinker at the mirrors

Hope this helps. 5 pages of instruction for installation of TricLED Fender lights.

One thing to add to the instructions Haze posted. Once you take the top piece off the fenders you'll see there's very little slack in the existing wires to the front fender light and there's very little room to include the wire taps that Tricled provides. Also the taps don't provide a good, solid, water-tight connection. When I did it, I had to take it all apart and re-do it, this time using soldered connections with liquid electrical tape and shrink wrap tubing. It's more work but the top fender piece fits correctly now and it's a good, solid connection.

Thanks guys. I did one side before I saw these post, lol. Those directions are so much better than the ones I got, thanks Haze. It sucks that, for what they charge for these things, we can't get directions for the ST. You are right Trbayth they don't make a good connection. If I had some T-Taps I would feel better about it. I'll probable have to re-do it later.

I ended up doing the same as Trybayth did. I tried with the existing directions and supplied connectors...waste of time. I went for my own setup and did it in a way that made sense to me. Thanks guys for all your help. I put a pic in of what I did but I don't know if it will show up.

I have the sequential fenderz lights from TricLED and they are DEFINITELY worth the effort . Very bright and eye catching.
