There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Installing a belt guard on a F3-T

How hard is it to install a belt guard? Especially do I need to put the Spyder on a lift?

Just wondering if I should order it and have it installed while I wait for the other things to be installed on my new Spyder. While I found lots of posts convincing me to get a belt guard, I could not find one indicating how hard it is to install one. For where I travel it would be extremely difficult to avoid gravel roads, plus as one person pointed out it is hard to avoid riding in gravel when pulling over.

Thanks for the answers.

What spyder you got?:hun::dontknow: They are all about the same but shuttle differences will matter depending on your mechanical skill. As far as I know there is an upper belt guard oem
it ain't much but does function IMG_3300.JPGthis is mine It bolted to a fender piece on the swing arm. Now that Ive removed that fender for a plate relocation one I too need to investigate proper belt guard modification :helpsmilie:from this:IMG_6302.jpg
to this:IMG_6561.jpg the old one was damaged in mild fender bender & rubbing my tire. I was already looking to elevate my plate so the project commenced. Not trying to hijack thread, just need to know options

Well, I have a RT not an F-3T so might be a bit different, but looking at the pictures for the F3-T belt guard, looks same as mine (which is a SpyderPops item). I did NOT have to raise the machine and it was at most a 5 minutes install. Directions explain it well.

The " Missing Belt Guard" was the very first item I installed, as I live off a gravel road, not very long but still better safe than sorry.
