• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installed my CB/Intercom/GPS/Bluetooth

Well stripped my RT down and installed the system. Since I had to take the trunk off it took 1.5 hours to get the panels all off. Some of the instructions are vague and the pictures are black and white and almost useless but over all it came together fine. The one com connecter cover (the spring loaded cover for the heads set ) had the little spring installed wrong. After mutiple tries to try to install the spring correctly it finally broke. I used the other one that was meant for the passanger for now.

I had it back together by 5 and again, it took a little bit longer as I had other things I had to do so I would say the install takes about 6 hours. The connectors are all sized so you cannot make a mistake, good thing as I had 8 different ones + the GPS and Blue tooth harness interfaces.

I had installed the helmut mike/speakers throught the week (took about 1 hour) so I fired up the bike and gave it a test. Headset works great, Radio seems to worker better than before (the added ground strap?, com is working but need a passanger with a head set to be sure. CB is appears to be transmitting but I did not recieve any signals on any of the channels. I still have to set it up some more, it may be set to LOC instead of DX.

I did not take pictures, sorry. I suffer with diabetes related issues so I am in so much pain doing this type of work I gave up on trying very soon into the install.

The boom mike tends to fall away from my mouth so I will have to keep a eye on this.

Sounds like quite the project and to do it in the pain you were in is quite a feat. :doorag:
:congrats:

That was a big job on the CB/intercom installation. With the mic, try to tuck it your helmet. Then it does not move around.

I have a Scorpion 900 convertable helmut. When the chin gaurd is on it tucks up inside fine but when I convert to 3/4 face it drops away constantly. We had hour first 70+ weather yestdary so I put a 150 miles on (still have 2 bars showing but the low fuels is starting to light). I really like the head set for listening to the radio and IPOD, I can keep it on low and hear perfectly. The speakers need some tweeking in the helmut, I can tell they are too low as the sound improves when I push upwards.

Regards,

Randy
