• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mine is just below the license plate.

John,
I normally keep mine on the left side LOWER A-arm cover... More Vinyl Graphics 002.jpg (You can JUST see the tip of it; poking around the LF fender)
This year; the Tech got to it before I had a chance to remind him, and he slapped on the belt cover out back...

Top or bottom; it's all good!
Pick the spot that's easiest for you to access! (But NOT the top of the frunklid! :yikes:)

Well..!!

We don't have them so not a problem but when I worked in Texas they had a back plate for the license witha tab for the sticker. If you have the time and inclination check with the dmv and see if you can nail it down...:dontknow:

I keep mine in any other State but here. :D

The 2nd most free State in the Union dies not require said inspections or stickers. :ohyea:

No requirements from Virginia, just have to display it. I put it on the left-side panel covering the belt, next to my county registration and my work parking permit.

Only downside is that plastic needs to be SUPER clean for stickers to stick for an entire year. For some reason, my county stickers never last the whole year, I've had to use clear packing tape to hold them to the bike, grrr.

:dontknow::dontknow:
I live in California and never had one
Don't tell my state they will surely add it and charge an arm and a leg
What are they inspecting?
Don

Depends on the state. Usually they inspect safety equipment like brakes and lights, some states/regions do emissions testing.

I did not think there were ANY states doing emissions testing on motorcycles yet. This is why motorcycles do not have the standard OBD-II connector like all cars and trucks do.

(Don't give them any ideas...)

Dave, my dealer told me that the sticker must be on the left side, within the front 1/3 of the bike, and visible. Last two years they placed the insp sticker on the belt guard, but since they had a visit from the state police, they now put them on the left splash guard. My sticker blew/washed off during my marathon ryde from TN in the pouring rain. So, my dealer replaced the sticker and this time put it back on the belt guard.

Mine is here . . . I get mine inspected by a custom trike conversion shop, because the only dealer in WV near me (where I bought my Spyder) doesn't do inspections . . .
