• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Indian Motorcycle's touch screen

Yes, I have both a Gold Wing and Spyder RT Limited. I wish both of these bikes would update to something like this. They are great bikes and reliable, but an update to "today's world" in the electronic interfaces sure would be nice! Thanks for the link.

Touch Screen

I know some people are against over-gadgetry on a bike, but I can't get too much.

I wish Can-Am had this type of interface - GPS, bike status including TPMS, etc.

I would think that they are going to have to come out with something soon. All the other "luxury" tourers are starting to get a display like that. I have a SUV with a touch screen in it and I love it. When Can Am does this I would hope it the touch screen system would incorporate CarPLAY (For Iphones) and ANDROID AUTO (for the others).

Petty sweet setup, looks really user friendly. Can-Am may eventually come out with something similar, but too late for me.

I like the fact that it appears to work very well with ryding gloves. And, the "pinchable" screen is a better way of zooming in and out than the +/- keys.

On the other hand, I don't need any more distractions when I ryde.

Hard to say, but it looks like the 2018 RT dashboard might be a step in this direction. It appears that it is designed to use your phone via Bluetooth to provide music, navigation and perhaps other services. I like the full color display on the website.Dashboard.jpg

I wonder what happens when you're out of a signal range with your carrier, OR what people like Bob Denman who don't carry a full-featured phone will do?
