• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

In our garage!!

You are observant! I purchased this Honda HS50 snowblower new in 1983 when living in South St. Paul, MN....it has travelled with us during our relocations to KY (neighbor thought it was a tillerroflmao), IA, PA, SC, and then back to MN. Starts on the first pull. We take good care of our machines (this one has lasted over 30 years)!! Unfortunately, used it a lot this year in the fun state of Minnesnowta. Forecast for this coming Monday and Tuesday is 20 below at nights and "highs" around 10 below....we're running way under the average this whole month! UGH....

 Praying for an early spring......

Here's a better pic of the snowblower with my new bike in the background. I hate to admit it, but I do wax my snowblower occasionally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honda is a pretty good snowblower. I recently retired a Honda 1125 Track Model which I purchased early in 2002 or so. That machine would throw snow 30 ft. or more. It did have a penchant for eating shear pins and I got to be an expert in replacing them. The track drive was great for getting up and down my steep driveway at my previous residence.

A very important tool when you need them. There is no way I can hand shovel any more.

You never put a "cab" over it; for when the wind kicks up, and Mother Nature wants to tussle with you??
We bought a Troy-Built four years ago (Honda-engined!)
5hp, 24" small unit that would be easy to handle...
The very FIRST time that the Missus got her paws on it; she was hooked!
Until the wind kicked up... :yikes:
That afternoon; I was busy EBaying her a cab for it!! :roflblack:

My current machine is a Troy Bilt 2840 Storm. A little easier for me to horse around than the bigger Honda was. Very compatible for my driveway area. Never thought of adding the cab over, but worth considering. Now if I could only get Linda to operate it for me.

Congrats:thumbup: looking good:firstplace:

You got to love Minnesota:pray:

Maybe we can get together for a ride sometime. My limited should arrive by March:clap:

Sure, once you get your limited this spring, send a note on this forum as I check it daily. We ride often. I'm retired, my wife still works -- wow, I really said that (and it's true)!

Be glad to ride in the area. We do a lot of rides into Wisconsin as well since I live on the east side of the cities. We do a lot of rides along the rivers as well. We did ride to Hutchinson, MN last year to visit friends.

Best of luck to you and your new bike when it arrives.....

Thanks!

One of the best rides is down 61 along the river and then back up 35 on Wisconson side. If fact I will be doing that this May with a group of guys on our annual spring trip.
i am 4 years from retirement and am looking forward to it-so congrats on that!

What dealer did you get yours from?

We purchased it at River Valley Power and Sports, Red Wing, MN. A little far to go for service (about an hour for me), but tended to be easier to work with compared to others I talked with in the area. Send me a private message if you want more info.

Hope all works out well with your new Spyder....

Thanks all.....

Thanks all Spyderlovers for your kind words and congrats on our new Spyder! This forum has been GREAT and very USEFUL! I used it many times when updating my 2012 and will continue to use it as we go forward.
