• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm the slow poke

Me and my new F3 limited have some issues. I'm getting faster as our long day on the hi ways. I am off my wing, where 75 is the norm without any issues at all and was confertable. For the most part I think the wind was beating me up at 65-70. I already took care of the vibration from the belt last week. Looks like the 23" f4 windshield is next for me. Anyone who has this set up can tell me that @ 70 is a better ride. I have read just about every post on windshields.

I would recommend the 28" or 30" F4 windshield and the wind wings.
Both shields can be adjusted up another 2" and do a pretty good job
of getting the wind over your head depending on how tall you are.
The wind wings are excellent at controlling the wind coming around the
sides of the windshield. They also do a great job of keeping the co-pilot from being beat up. There are also hand wings and leg wings available. Hand wings mount to the mirror mounting point and are good in the winter time with the cold wind. The leg wings mount to the foot peg rail and upper tupperware. Helps keep the hot air coming from the engine off your feet and calves. All are adjustable to your liking. I have all three and live just south of Wichita falls. Summer riding is a lot more comfortable. Of course opinions may vary!!

6'-2" and ridding 2 up. I know the f4 comes in 3 sizes and think the tallest one would not be rite for me. Tall boy from can am is voted out. I had a vstream on the wing and was awesome

The F4's are also have an adjustment for the angle that the wind
hits the windshield.

Windshield

For his F3L the only F4 sizes are 21", 23", and 25". And the angle is not adjustable.

I was wondering cause I did not see that in the videos. My 23" F-4 scheduled to be here tomorrow and will see if I can maintain average interstate speeds of 70 without the issues I was having before.
The real test results will be told by wife.

I have the 23" F4 windshield on my F3T and it works great for me. I am 6' tall and look over the top. I have less wind buffeting than I had on my RT.

Did you use the F4 "measuring system" to make sure the 23" was right for you, Gsebring? It is usually spot on.

Also, be very careful when you are receiving advice for your F3 Limited. They are still relatively new, and you will get advice from people who don't appear to know they exist and are different from the older and/or other F3 models. It can lead you down a very confusing path, as you have already discovered.

Houston

Anywhere you don't want to get ran over :roflblack:

In Houston, 70 + is the norm. The wing would always be at 75 cruising speed.
The shield is on but has not seen the the freeways yet. Looks to the rite height (eye level). This weekend will the test for it as it is not the daily driver.

Thanks for the help in choosing really the only shied on the market for the F3L

No slow poke now

The wind shield made all the difference in the world. 70 now is breeze without any effort. Now we can ride without being beat up. F4 is the bomb
