• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Sorry to have to post this--but my deal on the 2014 RTS fell through.

A combination of the dealer failing to order it--now--it would not be here until May. The other part, he is not eager to take my 2010 RTS in on a trade now--since his identical one has been for sale on the floor for three months.

I am going to let this one go and stick with my 2010 and 2011 versions.

Will try to stay away from the Sour Grapes wine--but I am a little TICKED OFF at this conjuncture.

Sorry to hear that the dealer kind of drop the ball. I'm waiting till the 2014's get all the bugs worked out, which is usually the case on a new production model vehicle, either a car or a bike.

Bummer..!!

it may be this was not the time. If it ain't broke type of thing. There is nothing wrong with our roadster so we see no need to get a new one just because...ryde on :ohyea::ohyea:there will be another time with a better outcome...

Darn, that's a real bummer. :( But, as they say, everything happens for a reason.

(Alas, "they" never say whether it happens for a GOOD reason!).

2014 Spyder

Sorry to hear and I'm sure you are very disappointed. But look on the bright side! If your two Spyders are paid for and you have no mechanical issues, that's a good thing. My ST-S is almost paid for, I have no major heat issues, and I have no desire to trade!

Why are you sorry?

It's probably the best thing that's happened to you.Let's just say you spent $30K OTD for your 2011 and another $3-4K for farkles (damn, I hate that stupid word) or upgrades so now you have $34K in a bike that's just right for you. On top of that you have less than 5K miles on it (hypothetical average) not even broken in yet. The dealer offers $15K average trade-in (from what I've read on here). That's a $19K loss right off the bat and not including the upgrades the new 2014 will need to make it just right for you. So let's round that up to $23K with farkles (damn, I hate that stupid word, sounds like something you get after eating real mexican chili) or upgrades. Now, is having an extra gear a couple of more horsepower, avg. 1 or 2 mpg. and idling alittle slower worth $23,000.00? Not in my book. But, that's just my opinion. :yikes:

:agree: You have a nice ride just enjoy. You won't be a test pilot either. IF I were to upgrade it would not be until next year unless I get all the bugs worked out of my 13 then who knows this may be my last one:dontknow:

My real numbers don't jibe with the above, but thanks anyway.

I was pretty gung ho--just because. I like new and different. I have been a test pilot three times, and came out okay. Circumstances mentioned in OP caused me to change my mind.

 This just flat-out sux :cus: Through a straw... :gaah:
Does this moron have a website?

I am not going to make further waves. I still need service on the 2010 and 2011. I voted with my checkbook. The guy is no dummy--so I made my point already.

I agree, maybe this happened because an even better deal is in your future!

Too bad....

Sorry to hear that :banghead:....best wishes for a good year and a new Spyder in your future!

Personally, I don't like first models of a new product. I'd say let them use Joe and Bobs 2014s as guinea pigs to work out all the bugs, then jump into a fresh 2015!

.

So ............................ Now when the 15s come out all of us that have 14s and below will be looking to you for test ride results???

Hang in there Buddy, when life hands you a tomato, make Spaghetti sauce.
