• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm getting really tired......

Best way to deal with this question is to say "same as a Harley or a Goldwing". That pretty much answers the question politely but puts them off if they are not bike folks.

I once answered a pretty rude guy with a very pretty wife with " how much for the missis?" She liked it he didn't.

I agree with the price thing by Blue Knight. Sitting on a Spyder by a adult or putting a child on one is a NO. If you ask, I might. Someone also said, the impression you leave counts. One Aw S*** wipes out many nice things. My 08 drew a lot more questions. I think it goes with owning a neat piece of machinery.

Up here ,where they are built, I have found very little interest. No rubbernecking at stop lights, no being quizzed as gas stations etc. Maybe my miserable mug puts them off approaching me :D

Comeswith theTerritory

Nothing you can do about it, may as well get used to it. Men, women, kids, in automobiles or walking on the sidewalks, all can't help staring. Heck, if they are walking a dog even the dog stares. Only had one young trashy looking woman shaking here head at me at a light. I just shook my head back. I am driving a beautiful 2012 RTS, she is driving a rusted out 90's Pontiac 6000. Go figure. As for people actually getting on your bike, that's just wrong. If I saw a Corvette convertible sitting in the parking lot at the grocery store with the roof open, I am not hopping in to see how it feels. So, stay off other peoples bikes. As long as they don't hit me because they aren't paying attention, I am okay with it. Look at the bright side. Having all that attention means they see you, and that makes you safer. That's better than the alternative.

RE: How much does it cost? I really like the "as much as a Harley or a Goldwing" reply. It makes the point without quoting a $ amount.

I used to reply: How much do you think? I received several answers in the less than $10K category.

It's the people who pace me at 70 mph on the interstates that freak me out. They video and take pics. Occasionally they hang out of the window and try to talk to me. People do talk to me at red lights all the time and gas stations... don't mention them! My hubby hates to stop for fill ups. "Hurry," he says, "before someone comes to talk!"

If you go our riding today, I am pretty sure you will get plenty of people looking at you.
