• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm getting really tired......

Of people videotaping me at red lights! No.....really, the thumbs-ups, the smiles, "hey, what IS that", tailgaters, rubber-neckers, gas pump on-lookers...... All this attention over a "Jet Ski on wheels". What Gives???

I would be video recording you in this weather too, you're just down the road from me. It was 11f out there today?

It was 7 deg. When I left for work. I wanted to ryde in on the spyder but it was just a sick dream.... 40 degrees is the minimum for me.

Teeny-boppers like it too

I had a handful of cute little teeny-bopper girls give me thumbs up and "I like your bike" today when I rode past just as school was getting out. I guess they couldn't tell how old I was inside my full-face helmet. Or maybe it wouldn't have made any difference. It's a cool bike for young or old.

I actually don't mind when people ask me about my Spyder. The more people I can educate about them the more ryders there may be. Maybe I should go and work for BRP.:yikes:

Last weekend I was riding on I515 at the interchange with I15 which is one of the most dangerous interchanges in Las Vegas. As I was heading off to take the left for US95 I see a guy in the right lane next to me fumbling with something as he was driving with his window down. Next thing I see is a long lens resting on the door and he is snapping away as he is taking a sharp right exit onto MLK. Crazy!

I know some of you might be shocked to here this but.............I like to talk. When people want to talk about my spyder I am more than willing to oblige. It is one of those things that comes with owning a spyder. One thing to remember is that you are an ambassador to our "sport". Whether you chose to make a good impression or a bad one, just remember that you will leave a lasting impression either way.

You might as well get used to it. It's gonna keep happening. I've only been on the road with mine since last June, and I must have had two dozen red light or gas pump conversations about the Spyder. It IS an attention getter, and the closest dealer to my home area is thirty miles away, so there aren't many on the road around here yet.

So You think You have problems!

:yikes: My spyder is parked under a tiki hut at a resort with people from all over the world staying here every day. I find people almost every week setting on the spyder for pictures or with their kids on the spyder for pictures. I normally keep the cover on if Im not going to ride that day.

I love my spyder, and would not even think about selling it. When I find parents with their kids on my spyder, I simply tell them to take their kids over to where the black harleys are parked for a photo session. So far none have taken me up on that idea.

Yes people will talk to you at lights, in the parking lot etc., but that is one of the fun things about owning a spyder.

The one question that I don't like is...How much for something like this? or How much does it costs? It's the first question I get asked when someone is looking at it, before they comment about how nice it looks! When asked, I just reply by saying alot. But from now on, when asked that question I think I will start asking them how much money they have in the bank! :yikes: It's very rude in my opinion.

Best way to deal with this question is to say "same as a Harley or a Goldwing". That pretty much answers the question politely but puts them off if they are not bike folks.

I once answered a pretty rude guy with a very pretty wife with " how much for the missis?" She liked it he didn't.

The best way to deflect questions about cost is to say, "It's not what I've got in it that matters; it's what I get OUT of it that does." :2thumbs:

If your that close to Norwich we should meet this year for a ride:doorag:

In other news: I have read several articles about people sitting on spyders they don't own. They even have a sticker made to put on your ryde that tells people to stay off. I think part of the reason people get on it is because they feel that as long as they do not knock it over then it is alright. I was raised with the mindset that you never touch another person's vehicle, no matter what it is. If it has tires it is probably expensive. That being said, if a kid asks nicely, there is a good chance the munchkin will get to sit on it. With adults, I figure if you want to sit on it you will go to a dealership, try one of theirs. Just one more crazy opinion from me, I will get down off my soap box now.
