I play bass as well at my church whenever I am not running sound for them. I have a gorgeous Trans amber Lightwave Saber VL 5 string fretless bass with optical pickups and black nylon wrapped La Bella flat wound strings. I absolutely love the warm, clean tone this bass produces, and the sustains go on forever since there are no magnetic pickups creating drag on the strings. And this is probably one of the most well built basses I've ever held. I think my favorite bassist is Flea. Amazingly talented both on the bass and the trumpet.

As for David Lee Roth vs Hagar... I like em both. Roths songs are pretty much all about sex, while Hagars are about drinking and partying. I probably prefer David Lee Roth though.
