• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you please, a question about Ride-On tire goop!

Several have mentioned they use it and I thought I read where some have even removed the wheel weights. On the Ride-On site they say to get your tires balanced first. I like the idea of no ugly wheel weights myself. Have you found any trouble with it not balancing out the wheel if you remove all the weights? Please respond, thanks!

To Lamonster Please!

I really want to remove the weights from my stock spider wheels. What version of the product do I need and how much should I use. I went to the site but could not get a idea how to put it in the tire. Does it go in through the valve stem or do you have to unmount the tire. Please let me know if possible.
Also sorry to be stupid but how do I order through the Banner thing you mentioned in one of your posts. Thanks again!

You don't have to remove the tire, just the valve stem and a tool is provided in the kit for that. Order the "car" kit because the motorcycle kit does not come with enough product. Ride-On!

You have to remove the valve stem? Could you elaborate on that?

I'm on a list to receive the next load of Ride-on when it's in. Not sure what "remove the valve stem" means. :dontknow:

Thx

I'm with ya...on the question and on the list! This is what they told me at Ride-on...

The valve stem is the base of the metal part that you blow the air into...this actually screws off with a special tool that they send you...this allows you to pump the goop in...then, you re-attach the stem and pump up with air...

Excellent... I started to worry that the valve needed to be removed (think auto) then resealed.

I was not aware it unscrews.

Thanks.

The valve stem is the little thing that gets pushed down when you inflate/deflate the tire. It's spring loaded to keep the tire from losing air. It just screws into the black stem. The kit comes with a little valve cap that has a valve stem "screw driver" to remove the stem. Once it's removed, you use a little hose (also provided) to get the Ride-On from the bottle into the tire. It's REALLY easy. Just make sure the valve stem is at the 3 or 9 o'clock position when you work on it (that makes it much easier to insert the product).

The hardest part of the whole process is the kneeling on the concrete floor while you're working!

Edit: I see Bone Crusher beat me to it!

You aren't removing the valve stem, you're removing the valve core.
