• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If I hadn't Already Made Up My Mind To Find a New Dealer, This Would Have Done It!

I've already decided to switch to another dealer, due to a myriad of reasons . . . but if I hadn't, this would have done it . . . I got my Spyder back after the recall work, with a new master cylinder, charcoal canister, and brake cable. Guess what? Fewer than 100 miles . . . and the parking brake doesn't hold :banghead:. The light comes on when I depress the switch , I feel it in the foot pedal . . . but the Spyder will roll, easily, as though the brake is off :gaah:. If they can't put a brake cable on, successfully, what else is not being done right? I have jury duty until 4 November (have to call in every evening to see f they need me the next day) but as soon as it ends, I'm making an appointment at the dealer in Windber PA to get the cable fixed, properly, and, since I'll be there, I'll get a laser alignment, too.

:agree: Good luck!
It's a real shame when dealership issues are just about as common as bike issues...
(Or are they problems??? :dontknow: :D)

Windber dealer A+

Tim and all the folks at Triumph (Can Am) of Windber are super nice and they do great work. You won't be sorry for taking your Spyder to them for service.

I was wondering the same thing . . . the dealership I have had such poor service from is where I bought my Spyder :banghead: . . . . and are the folks who assembled it from the shipping crate . . . Since many folks have no issues at all, you have to wonder if it isn't a Spyder related issue, but a service department related issue, where possible shortcuts taken when uncrating and preparing Spyders for customers are causing issues. On the positive side, CanAm of Windber has a great reputation :firstplace:, can do a laser alignment for me, and is just over two hours away . . . which means I'll spend five or more hours riding the day I go there! That is a good thing!:ohyea: But I better get some thermal underwear . . . I'll be riding Interstate speeds in November!
