• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I went, I sat...

I bought two oil change kits and left. What did I sit on/in? The Slingshot. Sorry, not for me. I had a hard time getting in/out. Not enough leg room. Seat felt small. I didn't have time to drive it. Not bad mouthing, just giving my impression.

What do you think was wrong with it?
Too much car?
Not enough motorcycle?
:dontknow:

Re: ingress and egress...
I found that if you climb up into it, and get BOTH feet on the floorboards; it's easier to just grab the wheel, and sit yourself down...
Crawling out: just reverse the process!

I am in luck here. No one is carrying them. Nearest dealers are in Seattle and Oregon--so far.

For me, I see big issues with ingress/egress. A bit worried about safety as they sit pretty low to the ground and I don't want to get run over by a large SUV or a semi.

The SS would be a blast on all my twisty rides though. :spyder2:

I know I would go test sit, look, and maybe test drive if given the chance. Don't think I would trade off Spyder, though.

Hey Bruiser, I agree with you 100%. I had a difficult time getting in and out of the machine also. There is an old adage: "A new broom sweeps well" and that is how I see the Slingshot. sorry, just my feelings.
BIG F

Seeing that you are in Eastern N.C., does this mean that you were at the can am dealer located in Goldsboro, N.C.? I only ask because he told me that he was about to start carrying them as well as the spyder.

Yes it was. I stopped by to get some oil change kits. They are in their new facility now. They have two on site. One for demo and one in the showroom. I found it just too difficult to get in and out of the Slingshot. The wife didn't like the idea of sitting so low to the ground.

By the way, they're having their grand reopening tomorrow.
