• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think I finally found the windshield for me...

So I have tried a few of the various windshields, but I think I have finally found the one that works for me.

I had Pirate Powersports mount a Givi shield on my CHAD bracket. The smaller Givi shield looks better (IMO) and lets a bit more air get to the body so it does not create that vacuum effect. And the CHAD bracket provides easy adjustability to position the shield in a more personalized position to get rid of the head buffeting.

Overall I think I like it.

Arjay

I was wondering how that combination would work as well. Any chance of you posting pictures of how it looks set up that way?

:congrats: on finding the solution that works well for you.

Here are some pics of the Givi on the CHAD bracket.

After trying 4 different windshields including 2 from those crooks in Florida (who still owes me money) I have decided to buy #5 the 25 inch one from BRP and hope it will be last one I buy, I have not tried it yet.

Which 2 crooks in Florida ?

I just ordered the California Scientific Windshield medium. Any reports on that one?

Spydeb,

The first shield I bought was a large CalSci. My issue was that I still got quite a bit of head buffeting with it and unfortunately there is no room for adjustment. I am only 5'9 but I have the ESI risers so I sit more upright, that likely played into it.

I did find the CalSci to be pretty well made though, I had no issues with the shield itself. Had I not sold it, I probably would have tried to put it on the CHAD bracket.

I do like the little flip at the top of the Givi though, adds a little extra kick to the wind.

Thanks adohring

I do like the look of yours mounted on the brackets. Lucky for me I short at 5'4" so maybe that won't do that to me. I do not like the look of the taller shields. They are somehow disproportionate to the bike.
Thanks for reply and pics
