I Received An E-Mail From BRP Today

The e-mail was a survey about how much is your trade in worth? Well, I bit, because I am curious.

Filled all the pertinent information...and then...they wanted my e-mail, home phone #, etc.

No, they did not give me a trade in value with out the additional requested information.

I do not want a phone call from BRP trying to sell me a new one.

If anyone does go through with this, it would be interesting to know what "they" think your Spyder is worth, and how it compares with the real blue book trade in value.

Me too. If they can send you the email, they already have enough info in my opinion. I didn't fill out anything at all. When it's time to trade, I'll trade....I don't want some inflated, unrealistic number from a website.

I get emails to enter a "contest " to win a new F3 .... Just fill in your info and enter , but when you press enter it says " a dealer close to you will call you shortly about ordering a new Spyder!" Or something to that effect :banghead::banghead:

But like most I do not go any further than the point where they ask for personal information...sadly they probably have it but if you confirm it you will go into a mess of places that will hound you from then on....interesting cause BRP would have to send all that info to someone who could sell you a unit...:dontknow: and only they can tell you what they will give you.....

Sounds like someone's compiling a mailing list. Businesses *do* sell such information (it generates a little bit of revenue) -- that's how you get snail mail spam and e-mail spam.

They've done this in the past.. and of course they're going to hook you up with your local dealer.
The NADA numbers are pretty spot-on.. Kelly Blue Book also has Spyders listed now.
Just remember on any trade-in.. your farkles don't matter to them at all... pull them of and sell them! The dealer would prefer your Spyder being 100% stock.
Even in a private sale they don't add value.. might make the sale go quicker/easier.. but you don't get anything extra for them.

:agree: Sadly, farkles count for little to nothing. I had almost $5K worth on my 2008 and 2009 and got nothing extra for them.
