• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I need your thoughts on the trunk liner.

I didn't get one.

It would get wet when I filled the trunk with beer and ice.......I mean soda pop and ice.

:joke::coffee:

Not that I've seen. Though I'd love to have Spyder-branded clothes or baggage, I can't justify spending that much money.

For example:

Spyder Passenger Seat Bag Case - $105.99
Cortech Sport Tail Bag - $62.99

It's pretty ridiculous, but people buy them at those prices so they just keep selling them for that much. I wouldn't have bought the liner at full price. I only got it because it was about half-off which was a more reasonable price IMO.

Given the price of the Spyder, I'm guessing most riders have a lot of disposable income and can afford the branded stuff. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them. My Spyder was bought for cash with my Army Reserve reenlistment bonus and what little I make from one weekend a month is all I have have available for maintenance and accessories. I'm always on the lookout for cheaper alternatives.

My dealer helps me out a lot. They stock clothing and accessories for the Spyder, but once they reach their birthday they cut the price big time. I have gotten Can-Am shirts for $10 and $20 each that normally cost $40 and up. I also got a rear seat bag for $49.95. I can continue to be patient if it continues to bring me deals like these. :)

Which reminds me, you also need to be price savvy when you are looking at things on EBay as a lot of times the price listed is not a deal at all. ;)

I also have the trunk liner and like it a whole lot.

Although Mike is no longer at Mosites Motorsports, we used to get deals there beyond belief. We were getting hindles for 439 delivered and other goodies well below any other dealership...I bought most all of my BRP accessories from Mosites...many here bought the new comfort seat at a great price and the bags were for like 800.00...

I'd call them and see if they still sell for a few dollars profit...

Not here either. I got two jobs and child support. While I have a jeep I can drive, this is my major mode of transport most days.

i got my 1" riser on ebay for 16 bucks plus 8 dollars shipping. You CAN get great deals on EBAY but you are correct you have to pay attention.

I like it. It gives a finished look to the trunk. i like the pockets. I think the biggest "plus" is when storing a helmet or other hard item there is no scratching involved.

Minus is that you can't put ice into the trunk and make it a cooler.
