• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When I bought my F3, it came with two 4" X 4" (approx.) square clear plastic adhesive patches with the manual. I wondered what those were for. After riding for a few weeks, I noticed scratches or wear on the tank near the front of the seat probably from the zipper of my jacket or something. So I rubbed it with scratch remover, then applied one of the clear adhesive patches to the area. I guess that's what they were for.

I thought the two 4x4 patches were for the sides of the passenger pegs.

Spyder Wraps has great products but nothing yet to cover more then the top center of the tank. the F3 needs tank protection on the sides where your thighs rub. Over the last year there have been a few company’s making wraps for the F3 as well. Amr Racing, World Class Graphics, Graphic Kits Depot, etc

check with some of the can- am dealers or other cycle shops maybe they know of a leather shop or someone that can make a tank cover that might work on the tank. I would do that before sticking tape on the tank.

Those patches are to wrap the frame after you decide which position (2,3,4,5) you finally want. They wrap where you heel would touch the frame and protect it from rubbing the finish off.

I have the Spyder tank protectors, I think they're made for an RS but just barely fit the F3. Unfortunately the weather was cold when I applied mine, the top pad needs to wrap around the top of the tank near the gas cap. Because I didn't heat the pad, it didn't conform to the shape very well and about 1 cm of it has lifted in the front. If I replace them I would probably try preheating them in the oven at 175'F for 10 minutes or so. Even as it is, it doesn't look bad at all.

Tank pads

I found mine here: http://www.outridersapparel.com. Matched my theme made by Lethal threat good thick material & sticks well even to the textured plastic on my STimage.jpg fyi clean surface well with alcohol & let evap dry everything will stick better. I weighed it down with a bag of dirt overnight to get even application of the sticky backside.
