• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I really like the looks of the new 2010 spyders. I don't see me trading mine in any time soon though. I just really can't believe they are going to do that Premier Edition thing all over again. This time you do get the engraved ipod with photos and videos though, nice touch.

That is pretty funny though isn't it. I was joking about it a couple days ago on MM's thread about the new contest, that I hoped I could get a 2010 PE in time to enter.

I love the headlights...but the rest is too "Gold Wing old folks" for me. But, at least they added WAY more power with a 991 Rotax! :roflblack:

(isn't the 08-09 engine a 998.6?!)

I like them a lot!!! The looks are great!!! Headlights are really cool!!!

The Goldwing design is neat.

Hey, "Some Guy", you are getting pretty close to the old folks catagory (you only have 3 more years to go):roflblack:

I would bet it would fit right up it is what we say in the H-D world a softail is a softail wich means any tin from another model will fit on another bike as long as there has not been any frame changes a dresser is a dresser also

They are all 998's. The same engine in the Aprilia is called a 1000. Go figure. I don't know why they play with the numbers like the displacement is different.

The displacement is the same 998cc. So they still got 6 different size engines to go.

However, they did change the compression ratio

2008 and 2009 are 10.8:1
The new RT is: 12.2:1
They also killed a a few horses on this one:bdh:
2008 and 2009: 106 hp
The New RT is: 100 hp

91 octane min. too

That's a shame...much more expensive to run and likely the mileage won't be any better...
OUCH! :lecturef_smilie: ...

BRP marketing monkey: "Oh most exalted excellent boss-person (note position of the nose!), let's add way more to the price while we're at it! No one will ever want to buy a regular Spyder and modify it to their own liking while saving thousands of dollars!...ooo...think of the bonuses!".

Hey 3WD...where did you get Spyder gun rack?! As a former resident of the Great State of Texas, I think that's a great option! :D

I would post the picture, but I have no permission from the manufacturer so this thread would be deleted....:shemademe_smilie::roflblack:
